Rudrapur (Uttarakhand) – A disturbing incident has surfaced in the Khatima area of Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand, allegedly involving an act of ‘love jihad’. A Muslim man reportedly murdered his Hindu girlfriend in a brutal manner. The fanatic accused is said to have slit her throat, beheaded her, placed the head in a bag weighted with stones, and submerged it in water, while disposing of the torso in a nearby canal.
The victim’s sister had earlier lodged a missing person complaint. Acting on this, the Haryana Police arrested the accused. Following his confession, the police recovered the body, although the victim’s head is still being searched for, according to official sources.
1. According to the information received, Pooja Mandal (32) was employed at a spa center in Gurugram, Haryana, alongside her younger sister, Purmila Biswas. A few days before the incident, Pooja had travelled to Sitarganj in Uttarakhand, after which she failed to return home.
2. Concerned about her sister’s disappearance, Purmila lodged a missing person report at the Sector 5 Police Station in Gurugram on December 19th. Following a sustained investigation, the Haryana Police arrested Mushtaq Ali, a taxi driver and resident of Sitarganj. During interrogation, Mushtaq confessed to murdering Pooja by slitting her throat and disposing of her body in a canal approximately five and a half months earlier.
3. According to Mushtaq’s statement, he first met Pooja at the Rudrapur bus station in 2022. Their acquaintance eventually developed into a romantic relationship. However, complications arose when Mushtaq married another woman, leading to tensions between him and Pooja.
4. The accused further revealed that during an argument, he lured Pooja to a secluded location near the Nadanna canal in Khatima. There, he murdered her by slitting her throat with a knife. He later disposed of her body in the canal and attempted to conceal the crime.
Editorial PerspectiveIt is deeply shameful that Muslims, who consider themselves a minority, are systematically targeting and harming the Hindu majority, and yet no government seems able to stop this. |
