2 students suspended in Bangladesh for insulting Islam

5 more to be suspended

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – The Patna University of Science and Technology here has suspended Hindu students Bikarn Das Divya and Pranay Kundu on charges of insulting Islam. Apart from this, there is a demand to suspend 5 other students in this case. A decision will be taken soon on this.

Vidyut Sarkar, Suvarna Sarkar, Deepu Biswas, Tanay Sarkar and Ankan Ghosh of the Pharmacy department are accused of making derogatory comments about Islam on WhatsApp. As soon as this incident came to light, some students of the university started protesting making demand for their immediate suspension.
