Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada, is the day of Gudhipadwa ! This day is one among the three and a half auspicious days (muhurts). Deity Brahmadev created the Universe on this day. This day is considered the first day of Satyayug and the beginning of a New Year. To celebrate the New Year (Gudhipadwa), ritualistic worship of the Gudhi (Gudhipujan) was performed on 6.4.2019 at the Sanatan Ashram in Ramnathi, Goa. Mr Chaitanya Dikshit, a priest from Sanatan Purohit Pathshala, performed the Gudhipujan and Mr Ishan Joshi officiated as a priest in the ritualisic worship. Research was conducted by the Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay using the Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) to scientifically study the spiritual impact of Gudhipujan on the worshipper, the priest, the items used in the ritualistic worship, and the individuals present during the ritualistic worship. The interpretation and spiritual analysis of the observations in this study are given ahead.
The Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) was developed in 2005 by Dr. Mannem Murthy, a former nuclear scientist from Telengana. By using this instrument the energy and the aura of an object, a premises, an animal or an individual can be measured.
1. Interpretation of observations in the study : In this study, UAS readings of the Gudhi, the prasad made from neem leaves, the worshipper, the priest and the 3 individuals present at the Gudhipujan were taken before and after the Gudhipujan. (The 3 individuals being, one with severe spiritual distress, with no spiritual distress, and with a spiritual level of 61 percent and no spiritual distress). It is advised that the day after Gudhipujan the copper vessel used in hoisting the Gudhi should be used to store drinking water. To study the effect of storing water in the copper vessel, UAS readings were taken of drinking water from the ashram, before storing it in the vessel and after storing it in the vessel for 1 hour.
1 A. Gudhipujan had a positive effect on all the components involved in the pujan : Before the Gudhipujan, there was negative energy aura in the priest and the individual having severe spiritual distress. The negative energy aura in them either reduced or was nullified after the ritual. After Gudhipujan, positive energy aura was created in the individual having severe spiritual distress and the positive energy aura in other components increased to a large extent. This is understood from the table given next.
Components in the study | Negative energy Aura (Metres) | Positive energy Aura (Metres)
Before Gudhipujan | After | Before Gudhipujan | After
1. Gudhi | 0 | 0 | 11.58 | 22.56 |
2. Prasad from neem leaves | 0 | 0 | 1.48 | 3.34 |
3. Priest 1- Mr Chaitanya Dikshit | 0 | 0 | 2.12 | 5.57 |
4. Priest 2- Mr Ishan Joshi | 1.51 | 0 | 2.38 | 4.82 |
5. Individual with severe spiritual distress | 4.90 | 1.03 | 0 | 1.30 |
6. Individual with no spiritual distress | 0 | 0 | 2.01 | 4.66 |
7. Individual with 61 percent spiritual level and no spiritual distress | 0 | 0 | 3.77 | 9.42 |
1 B. Increase in positive energy of water after storing it in a copper vessel for 1 hour the next day : Initially itself, the drinking water from the Ashram had positive energy, which was 3.56 metres. After storing that water in a copper vessel for 1 hour, the positive energy aura of the water increased by 3.38 metres to 6.94 metres.
2. Spiritual analysis of the observations in the study
2 A. The reason behind increased positive energy in the Gudhi initially and it increasing after the Gudhipujan : The Sattvik atmosphere in Sanatan’s Ashram, the fact that all the items placed on the Gudhi were Sattvik (for example the stick used for hoisting, the cloth used for Gudhi, garland, neem twig, etc.), and the seekers’ fulfillment of all the rituals of worship with bhav (spiritual emotion), created a lot of Sattvikta in the Gudhi even before the worship. Therefore, increased positive energy was found in the Gudhi even before the worship.
On Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada (Gudhipadwa), maximum frequencies of Deity Prajapati from the Universe descend onto the earth. When the worshipper performed worship of the Gudhi with devotion, the frequencies (Chaitanya or Divine consciousness) of Deity Prajapati were attracted to the Gudhi to a large extent. Therefore, the study showed that the positive energy aura of the Gudhi increased significantly after the Gudhipujan.
2 B. Prajapati frequencies (Chaitanya) being attracted to the prasad of neem : On Gudhipadwa, people consume the prasad from neem. This prasad is made from neem leaves, cummin seeds, asafoetida, soaked gram dal and honey. Since neem has a greater ability to absorb Prajapati frequencies than any other substance, people consume neem prasad that day. The study showed that the positive energy aura of the neem prasad increased after Gudhipujan, because of the Prajapati frequencies which were attracted to it.
2 C. The worshipper, priest and the individuals present at the Gurupujan imbibed the Chaitanya generated by the worship and their Sattvikta increased
2 D. Water in the copper vessel being charged with Chaitanya from the Prajapati frequencies : Due to maximum frequencies of Deity Prajapati the Kalash (vessel) placed on the Gudhi gets charged with Prajapati frequencies. Therefore, from the next day onwards, drinking water should be stored and consumed from this vessel. Since the water also gets charged with these frequencies one is able to imbibe these frequencies throughout the year. UAS reading of the water stored for 1 hour in the vessel showed positive energy aura due to it being charged with Prajapati frequencies.
Our spiritual research highlights the importance of celebrating particular festivals on specific days as per the Hindu lunar calendar, following the science of Spirituality. If we understand it and put it into practice with bhav, we will derive benefit at a spiritual level.
