Teacher Waris Ali Arrested for Demanding Physical Relationship from a Female Student

Srinagar – Dr Waris Ali, a teacher from Bhaderwah in Doda district of Kashmir, has been arrested for sexually harassing a minor student. Ali allegedly pressured a 12^th-grade female student into a physical relationship by threatening to fail her in exams if she refused. The victim filed a complaint against him on April 16, following which he was arrested.

The student stated, “Ali told me that if I had a physical relationship with him, he would help me secure admission in a medical college in Punjab.” She also revealed that he had sent her obscene messages on WhatsApp. According to the victim, Ali had made similar advances toward other female students as well. “He threatened to fail me in the exams if I told my family or refused his demands,” she added.
