Muslims should stay at home on Holi or not feel bad if someone applies colour to them when they go out

BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachol’s appeal

Patliputra (Bihar) – Anuj Chaudhary, the Chief Police Officer of Sambhal District in Uttar Pradesh, has advised Muslims to offer prayers at home on Holi. BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachol in Bihar has supported this advice. While talking to reporters, Haribhushan Thakur said that whatever Sambhal Police Officer Anuj Chaudhary said was 100 per cent correct. He appealed to Muslims in Bihar that among the 52 Fridays, this year Holi was on Friday. Muslims should stay at home on that day or if they go out, they should go out with a big heart. Even if someone applies colour to them, they should not object. They sell colours, water guns (pichakari) etc. on the occasion of Holi, but people should also remember that if such a thing happens, they immediately resort to violence.

Objection by Janata Dal (United) party leader and minister Ashok Chaudhary

Bihar Government minister and Janata Dal (United) party leader Ashok Chaudhary objected to MLA Haribhushan Thakur’s statement. He said that this country belonged to everyone; people of every religion celebrated each other’s festivals and celebrations happily. No one had any objection to this. BJP MLAs should avoid such statements. This was his opinion, which had nothing to do with the Government.
