Pune (Maharashtra) – The Wanawadi Police have arrested a gang that used fake documents and fake guarantors to get bail for criminals in the court. 11 people, including 2 advocates, advocate Aslam Syed and advocate Suresh Jadhav, who were helping the gang of fake guarantors, have been arrested. (The charter of the accused advocates should be confiscated. – Editor) The main accused Farhan alias Bablu Sheikh has absconded, informed Zone 5 Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr Rajkumar Shinde in a press conference.
1. Since the accused in judicial custody in Yerwada Jail were not able to find a guarantor, the accused, along with their lawyers, presented fake guarantors in court. The fake guarantors contacted the relatives of the criminals and took money from them.
2. This gang used to submit Aadhaar cards, ration cards, 7/12 extracts, and related documents. They used to use fake signatures and stamps on ration cards. They used to present affidavits in court and pretend that the documents were original. They used to mislead the court and get bail for the accused criminals. It has been revealed that the fake guarantors are from Mumbai, Thane, and rural areas.
3. After the case of fake sureties being put up came to light, an investigation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Dr Rajkumar Shinde. 24 cases of fake sureties have been revealed.
