Prayagraj – Media and Social Media Networks are actively trying to defame the Maha Kumbha Mela by distorting the reality. Instead of reporting news about devout Saints, sensational news about alleged Saints who are greedy for fame are broadcast constantly with the intention of defaming this massive Hindu gathering. There is a strong possibility that it is a well-planned and organised effort to defame Maha Kumbha through tweets, posts and videos on X, Instagram, YouTube etc.
1. Some days ago, a few atheists trying to openly propagate that the Kumbha Mela is merely a superstition were beaten up by Naga Sadhus, in the Sector 19 of the Kumbha Kshetra.
2. Thus those who had come with the intention to defame the Kumbha Mela did not get a chance to openly do so. They then took to Social Media actively to carry on the defamation without disclosing their identity.
3. Some YouTube channel presenters have been found trying to go into the Kumbha Mela’s Akhadas and project how the Sadhus are bogus.

4. A few days ago, a video of a girl trying to make a video of a Sadhu known as ‘Katewale Baba’ sleeping on thorns at the Kumbha Mela went viral. The way the girl was speaking rudely to the ‘Katewale Baba’, it seemed as if she had come to defame the Kumbha Mela on some anti-Hindu entity’s orders.
5. Facile news such as that of model Harsha Richariya, who has come to the Maha Kumbha Mela wearing saffron robes of a Sadhvi, being called ‘the most beautiful Sadhvi’, Sanyasi Abhey Singh being given unnecessary attention by calling him IIT Baba or the deluge of publicity received by the beauty of a Japamala seller called Monalisa Bhosale exhibit the well-planned conspiracy to defame the Maha Kumbha Mela.
