Devotees to be directly sent to their destination from the bathing location

Administration’s decision to avoid crowding at ‘Sangam Nose’ in Prayagraj on the day of Mauni Amavasya

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – The second and biggest Amrit Snan of the Maha Kumbha Parva is scheduled on the day of Mauni Amavasya, and the administration has estimated that 10 crore devotees will visit for the bath on that day. In this context, the Police and administration have geared up for security and law and order. Since devotees are thronging in large numbers at the ‘Sangam Nose’, the place of Triveni Sangam, the administration has decided to send the devotees to their destination directly from the sector where they will bathe. There are 25 sectors in the Maha Kumbha area and for the convenience of the devotees, 12 km long ghats have been constructed. A lot of water has been released into the river at each place.

The administration has given clear instructions to all the Police personnel and sector heads that the devotees should be sent back from the sector where they will take bath and under no circumstances should they be allowed to go to Sangam Nose or any other place between January 27th and 29th. The administration has made it clear that providing convenient and easy bathing facilities to the devotees is their priority.

As per the instructions of the administration, a 12 km long ghat has been constructed for the convenience of the devotees. Separate teams have been formed to avoid crowding on the ghats. Along with this, the infrastructure facilities on the ghats will be made more efficient. Arrangements like barricading, water Police, watch tower, lighting, signage, toilets, changing rooms, sanitation etc. will also be made.
