Raipur – In the capital city of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, it has been revealed that illegal cow slaughter and beef sales have been ongoing for a year in the Mominpara area. In connection with this case, the police have arrested eight Muslims, including two women named Bilkis Bano and Eram Zohra. This issue came to light after Hindu organizations raised their voices. A large quantity of beef was found in the accused’s houses. (It is the general expectation of Hindus that the police should take proactive action against such illegal activities rather than waiting for demands from Hindu organizations! – Editor)
1. Following the demands of Hindu organizations, the police raided the homes of the accused. During the raid, they seized beef, nylon ropes, wooden blocks, hides, knives, and cash. The arrested individuals include Bilkis Bano, Eram Zohra, Sameer, Khurshid Ali, Mohammad Muntazir Haider, Ashfaq Ali, Arman Haider, and Mohammad Irshad Qureshi. The incident has sparked significant outrage among Hindu organizations.
2. According to the police, charges have been filed against the accused under various sections of the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 2004.
Editorial PerspectiveDespite the anti-cow slaughter laws in the state, such incidents indicate a lack of fear among offenders. Strict enforcement of the law and appropriate punishment for violators is necessary to instil fear and deter such acts. |
