Mumbai – “The country has lost a great administrator and economist with the passing of India’s former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. He worked in various roles like Governor of the Reserve Bank, Finance Minister, Prime Minister and tried to give justice to the people of the country. He tried to create his own distinct place in Indian politics. He has also written extensively on economics. His work will always be remembered by the citizens. I pay my heartfelt tribute to him and share the grief of his family. I pray that his family gets the strength to bear this grief,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after Dr Manmohan Singh’s death. Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar also paid tributes to him.
