Hindus’ division based on caste, language or region will lead to their destruction

RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale’s Statement

Mathura, Uttar Pradesh – If Hindu society is divided in caste, language, or region, it will lead to its downfall, therefore, unity is necessary. The unity of Hindu society is for the welfare of people and it will bring happiness to all. Some forces are, however, working to divide Hindus, and it is essential to warn them, stated Mr Dattatreya Hosabale, the General Secretary (GS) of ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during a press conference held at the closing of a two-day All India Executive Council meeting at the Deendayal Upadhyaya Cow Science Research and Training Centre campus. Mr Hosabale made such a statement in connection with a recent comment by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, “If divided, we will be cut down.” Mr Hosabale stated that if Hindus didn’t remain united, in today’s language, there would be a situation of getting ‘cut down’ if divided.

GS Hosabale continued :

Unity of Hindus for Public Welfare – The unity of Hindus is for the welfare of society. Maintaining this unity is essential for the benefit of others, too. This is possible not by just talking about it but by making efforts and practising what we say.

Rising Cases of Religious Conversion – Reports of religious conversions are coming from various places. During Durga Puja and Ganesh idol immersions, attacks on Hindus were reported. Hindu society should protect itself and remain united.

Opposition to Waqf Law, even from Muslims – Regarding questions on the Waqf law amendment brought to Parliament, GS Hosabale noted that the 2013 amendment to the long-standing Waqf Act created a quasi-independent branch in India, with no intervention allowed by even any authorized officials. Not only Hindus but many Muslims also oppose this law, as it has led to various injustices and oppression against them.

Protection needed for Hindus in Bangladesh – The Indian Government has extended assistance to all communities in Bangladesh. RSS believed that the Hindu community would continue to live there. They should not flee but stand firm. Hindus wishing to stay there should be provided protection. Individuals, who are affiliated to RSS ideology, are also assisting one another in Bangladesh.

Need for Censor Board for OTT

Just as films have a censor board, OTT (Over-the-Top) platforms should have a regulatory law. With phones in children’s hands, content can affect their minds and lead to harmful habits, so some control is needed to protect children.

Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi Issue to be resolved by the Court

The Shrikrishna Janmabhoomi issue is in court. Mr Hosabale expressed hope that the court will resolve it soon just as the Ayodhya issue. He urged people to trust the judiciary, as each case need not be handled the same way. Hindus are raising their voice and we are with them.
