Hindus agitate demanding immediate action

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh) – Muslim fanatics pelted stones at the Hanuman temple during an Eid procession near the Nehru bus stand here. A devotee was injured in this. Hindus took to the streets in large numbers against this and demanded immediate arrest of the stone pelters. The Police have registered a case and the accused are being searched for.

1. There was tension here as both Hindus and Muslims came face to face. As soon as the information about this matter was received, the Police immediately reached the location. The members of the Hindu organisation, who were firm about their demand for action, also clashed with the Police. Hanuman Chalisa was also recited on the road in protest. Hindus alleged that the Police did not take the incident seriously. Several senior administrative officers reached the location to pacify the protesters. The administration has claimed that the stone pelters would soon be arrested.

2. The protest was also supported by some local traders and the markets were closed. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has called this act a premeditated conspiracy.

Editorial Perspective

When there is a BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh, how dare Muslims attack Hindu temples ? It is necessary for the Government to create fear that would prevent repetition of such audacious acts.
