Religious fanatics pelt stones at procession

Mahoba (UP) – An incident of stone pelting by fanatics occurred on 14^thSeptember when the Shri Ganesh idol immersion procession was passing through Kasauratori, a Muslim-majority area.

1. While the procession was passing through Kasauratori, a spark from a firecracker accidentally landed on one of the houses, which led to a dispute.

2. Immediately after this, the fanatics started throwing empty buckets at the procession and later resorted to stone pelting, creating a tense environment in the area.

3. As soon as the Police received the information, they promptly reached the spot and detained several individuals. Following this, enraged Hindus surrounded the Police station, raised slogans, and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits.

Tighten the noose on the accused : VHP

Regarding this incident, Manoj Shivhare, the District president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), said, ‘There is immense anger among Ganesh devotees due to the stone-pelting on the Ganesh idol immersion procession. The Police should arrest the accused as soon as possible”.
