Jalgaon – On 15th September, during the procession of ‘Dosti Group Ganeshotsav Mandal’ in Amalner, religious fanatics pelted stones at the procession. As a result, the right arm of Shri Ganesh idol was damaged.

This incident took place in Gandhilpura area. Stones were pelted as a reaction to Hindus tossing gulal during the procession. After the incident, the mandal members decided not to proceed with the Deity Ganesh idol’s procession until the religious fanatics responsible for stone pelting were arrested, initiating a sit-in protest.

Unjust treatment to Deity Ganesh devotees by the Police

The president of the Ganesh Mandal, Nitin Dabhade, was detained and intimidated by the Police at the Police station until 2 a.m. Although Dabhade had named 13 religious fanatics in the original complaint, the Police included only 5 names in the FIR. Moreover, he was forced to falsely state that the Shri Ganesh idol’s arm was damaged because the vehicle hit a speed breaker, instead of mentioning the actual reason of stone pelting by the religious fanatics. The Police attempted to downplay the seriousness of the crime by altering the original complaint. (If the Police can fabricate such blatant lies despite the presence of many Deity Ganesh devotees as witnesses, one can only imagine what they do in other cases – Editor).

Editorial Perspectives

  • The solution to this is forming Hindu squads to protect the processions. Establishing Hindu Rashtra is the only way to put an end to the attacks by religious fanatics on Hindu processions.
  • Are these Police from Pakistan or India ? Do they not realise that religious fanatics also consider them as kafirs (non-believer of Islam) ?
  • It would not be wrong if someone believes that Deity Ganesh will curse these deceitful and anti-Hindu Police officers.
