Serious allegations of journalists, retired army officers and experts in a programme called ‘Coffee Par Kurukshetra’ on ‘India TV’

New Delhi – Two former Prime Ministers and a former Vice President of India had provided information to Pakistan and Iran about the RAW agents active in those countries, which resulted in their deaths, claimed Major Gaurav Arya (retd), Journalist Pradeep Singh and foreign policy expert Vaibhav Singh on Hindi news channel India TV’s programme called ‘Coffee Par Kurukshetra’.

In this discussion, these three claimed,

1. Former Vice President Hamid Ansari and former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral both gave full information including names and addresses of Indian spies active in Iran and Pakistan to those countries, resulting in the killing of all these spies. Indian intelligence agencies are still not fully recovered from this shock.

2. When Gujral was the Prime Minister, he wrote a letter to Pakistan providing it the names and addresses of Indian intelligence agents active in Pakistan. They were all killed.

3. When Hamid Ansari was the Ambassador of India in Iran, he had informed Iran about Indian agents active there. All those spies were killed too.

4. Former Prime Minister Morarji Desai had shared sensitive information about Pakistan’s nuclear programme, painstakingly collected by Indian intelligence, to Pakistani politicians. As a result, India’s operatives working in Pakistan were killed by Pakistan. If this had not happened, Pakistan would not have been able to develop an atomic bomb.

5. In 2009, in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted that ‘India is interfering in Pakistan’s Balochistan’. That is why Pakistan later said, ‘You (India) accuse us of unrest in Kashmir and you do the same in Balochistan.’ Perhaps no bigger mistake has been made since independence.

Editorial Perspective

This allegation was also made earlier by different persons. Taking note of this, the Government should bring all the evidence before the people. The Government should declare these three as traitors and record it in the history, so that the future generations will know about this. Else, the country will continue to think of them as great personalities.
