Angry mob vandalises the house of a man for sexually abusing a minor

North 24 Parganas (West Bengal) – Following the incident at R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, where a female doctor was raped and murdered, another disturbing case has come to light in Birbhum, where a patient identified as Abbas Uddin, who was admitted to the hospital, molested a nurse. Subsequently, a case of sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl in a hospital in Howrah came to light. Now, another incident has surfaced in North 24 Parganas, where a 7-year-old minor girl was sexually assaulted in the Rajbhari area of Rohanda Panchayat. In response to this incident, enraged locals attacked the accused’s house and vandalised shops belonging to his relatives. Police have arrested the accused.

The victim’s father stated that the accused, who is a resident of the same village, sexually assaulted his daughter while she was returning from a shop. The victim’s family has demanded strict punishment for the accused.

Trinamool Congress leader attempts to settle the case through compromise

Interestingly, a local Trinamool Congress leader called for resolving the case through a compromise. In response, the local people targeted the leader’s house as well. Police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. Subsequently, a Rapid Action Force has been deployed in the area.
