Dhaka, Bangladesh – On Saturday afternoon, a group of miscreants calling themselves students barged into the houses of high-ranking Hindu police officers of Moulvibazar Police, accusing them of being R&AW agents. They then went to the SP office. They couldn’t find anyone as the Hindu police officers had hidden themselves in safe places as soon as they got to know about plan.

This was the handiwork of Moulvibazar District Youth Dal leaders and activists. They searched every nook and cranny of the houses and didn’t even spare the bathroom of the police superintendent! They even threatened a Hindu officer to come and meet them.

Since the past few days, Hindus officials in various public offices, such as Passport office, a 250-bed hospital, etc., of Moulvibazar are being hunted down in similar ways by criminals disguised as students. Allegations are being raised that on the pretext of protecting these officials from undesirable situations, huge amounts of money is being extorted from them. This has created an immense amount of fear and panic among Hindus working in public offices of Moulvibazar.
