Notorious dacoit Shahnoor killed in encounter

Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh) – The Special Task Force of the UP Police have achieved success in neutralising a notorious dacoit named Shahnoor. During an encounter with the Police, Shahnoor was shot in the chest. He was admitted to the hospital, but the doctor’s declared him dead.

Shahnoor was an accused in many dacoities. During the dacoities, he would molest women victims. The Police were looking for him for the past 2.5 months. An award worth Rs 1 lakh was declared on him. Shahnoor alias Shanu was a resident of Sambhal District. There were 32 cases registered against him for dacoity, murder, rebelion etc.

Police got information that Shahnoor was at Shahjahanpur. The Police surrounded him at 1 a.m. and asked to surrender. But he began firing at the Police. The encounter between Shahnoor and his accomplices with the Police was going on for about 12 minutes. One of his accomplices fled from the area.

It would not be wrong if the citizens demand that similar strategy be adopted across the country to neutralise the decoits, considering increasing number of criminal incidents.
