Woman's hands and feet tied up and brutally beaten up in Bengal

The killer claims to be close to Trinamool Congress MLA

Kolkata (Bengal) – A video has surfaced of a person being brutally assaulted allegedly by the associates of a Trinamool Congress strongman inside a club in the Kamarhati area of West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, sparking a political outrage. Although the video was circulated on social media on July 8, the Police claimed that the video was old. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident which is believed to have taken place in the Ariadaha Taltala Sporting Club, the Police said. The video shows the associates of Jayant Singh, the TMC strongman who is known to be close to party’s Kamarhati MLA Madan Mitra, holding the victim, prima facie a woman, by her hands and legs while others hit her with sticks. Ruling Trinamool Congress MLA Madan Mitra is known for killing people. Two of these accused are already in Police custody. In this case, the police has registered the crime by taking cognisance. Legal action is understood to have been taken against all the people seen in the video.

The cry of the victim did not reach Mamata Banerjee – BJP

BJP leader Shazia Ilmi alleged in this case that the woman’s outcry did not reach Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This situation has become common in Bengal. When will Rahul Gandhi go to Bengal ?

The atrocities against women are increasing in Bengal and in most of the cases it has come to light that the leaders-activists of Trinamool Congress are involved in it. Therefore, there is a possibility that there is truth in this claim. It will not be surprising if the women are insecure because of the TMC party in power.
