Magnificent Idols of Shri Vishnu and Lakshmi Devi found in excavations at Buldhana

Buldhana, Maharashtra– The work of restoration, preservation and conservation of the mausoleum of the historical Raja Lakhujirao Jadhav in Sindkhed Raja town here has been going on for several months. While excavating in front of his mausoleum, magnificent Idols of Shri Vishnu and Lakshmi Devi have been found. This beautiful and graceful Idol is said to be the most beautiful Idol in history till date. This Idol is generally considered to be of the eleventh century.

Superintendent of Archaeological Survey of India Arun Malik has said that all these areas will be thoroughly excavated in the coming time.
