Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, the eternal Chaitanya-bestowing Parabrahman who has descended on Earth for the welfare of the world !

On the 82nd Birth Anniversary of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is the Incarnate Yugapurush (Great soul and leader of the Era) on Earth. His Birth Anniversary is not only for His gross Incarnate body, but also the Divine day when the Principle of the eternal Chaitanya-bestowing Parabrahman descended on Earth for the welfare of the world.

Shri Guru’s Birth Anniversary is the most important day in the lives of all the seekers. We lucky seekers are getting the opportunity to celebrate our Guru’s 82nd Birth Anniversary. Since Gurudev is the Vishwa Guru, not only seekers, but all the living beings in the Creation experience the celebration and Anand (Bliss) of Shri Guru’s Birth Anniversary.

This is merely an effort to express gratitude at the Holy feet of Shri Guru by experiencing the unmatched greatness of such a supreme ocean of mercy, and an effort to offer devotion-enriched prayers by using a few drops from this ocean. I am dedicating this Article of admiration at the Holy feet of Shri Guru with an emotion of utmost surrender and gratitude.

‘I always offer obeisance to Shri Guru, who is in Anand form, who exudes delight, is ever cheerful. His very nature is knowledge, He is aware of His own Self; He is Yogeshwar (Highest amongst Yogis) and is adorable. He is the physician for the disease of worldly existence.’ While reading this shloka I was reminded of Gurudev and realised that the description of the Guru in this shloka fits the Incarnate mission and characteristics of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale (Gurudev).

1. Anand-form and Anand-bestowing

Besides being in Anand form, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale also bestows Anand to the whole Creation. He bestows not only Anand, but Paramananda (Supreme Bliss) and Sachchidananda (Eternal Bliss). This is why the Saptarshis have also said in a Jeevanadipatti that He has been given the title of ‘Sachchidananda Parabrahman’. Gurudev, who teaches spiritual practice to obtain Anand, is unique in this phase of Kaliyug. Since such a Gurudev, who bestows Anand has come into the lives of seekers, their lives have been filled with Anand.

2. Cheerful

In every situation Gurudev’s expression is always cheerful. No matter what the crisis, the smile on His face never fades. Seeing His cheerful countenance reassures many a seekers.

Besides, when seekers face difficulties, crises or difficult situations, mere remembrance of the Guru’s pleasant smile gives them courage.

Even if seekers do not remember the Guru, through various spiritual experiences Gurudev Himself reassures them by giving them darshan (Vision) subtly.

It is His cheerful countenance which encourages the seekers to progress in spiritual practice and imparts them courage & spiritual energy during crisis.

3. Jnan-form

The ocean of Jnan (Knowledge) about spiritual science that is not available anywhere on Earth has been unearthed very much by the grace of Gurudev. This knowledge is becoming available to entire mankind. Gurudev Himself started to find answers through meditation to some of the spiritual mysteries or questions related to Spirituality.

Then, by His grace, some seekers, who performed spiritual practice under the guidance of Sanatan Sanstha, developed subtle perception ability. Gurudev shared this Divine knowledge obtained from God with the world in the form of hundreds of Texts in a language that the common man can understand. Sanatan’s Texts are Scriptures similar to the Ramayan, Shrimadbhagwadgeeta, Bhagawat, etc. These Texts are the knowledge-form of Gurudev.

4. Atmabodhayukta (Self-realised, the Supreme Soul)

Shri Guru has given Atmabodha (Knowledge of self-realisation) to the seekers that the only purpose of human life on Earth is to attain Moksha by performing spiritual practice. He is an Incarnation of God; however, at the beginning of His spiritual practice, to teach the world, He visited various Saints and obtained Atmabodha from them. His action should be called a ‘Leela’ (Divine play) of the Incarnation He is.

The Atmabodha advised by Him and the associated efforts of spiritual practice, are like Gurumantra for the seekers. Abiding by this Atmabodha with faith and devotion makes it easier for the seekers to achieve self-emancipation.

5. Yogeshwar

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has created Gurukrupayoga. He is the founder of Gurukrupayoga. He has brought about a fine confluence of Karmayoga, Jnanyoga and Bhaktiyoga in Gurukrupayoga.

Therefore, performing spiritual practice according to this one Path of Yoga, results in performing spiritual practice according to all the other Paths of Yoga. The title ‘Yogeshwar’ truly fits Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, who created this precious Path of Yoga.

6. He is the physician for the disease of worldly existence

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s Guru – Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj  (from Indore) – used to address Him as ‘Doctor’ (Vaidya). ‘Vaidya’ is one of the thousand Names of Shri Vishnu.

In Sanskrut there is an adage which means – ‘The true physician is Shrimannarayan Hari (Deity Shri Vishnu)’. The same Narayan has descended on this planet by taking the form of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale. Getting trapped in the materialistic world is the root cause of human suffering. To get rid of this suffering, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has provided the precise medicine in the form of spiritual practice; hence, the title – ‘He is the physician for the disease of worldly existence’ is applicable to Gurudev. He is the only unique spiritual Doctor in this world, who has identified the basic disease of souls who are trapped in the cycles of birth-and-death and has advised spiritual practice as a remedy.

7. Worthy of praise

It is because of these numerous qualities that Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is worthy of praise in the world.

(One of the two Spiritual Heirs of Sachchidananda Parabrahman [Dr] Athavale) (16.5.2024)

‘O’ Gurudev ! You are the Incarnation of the Absolute Parabrahman – the Immortal Principle.

May we be able to imbibe till the last breath the Principle of the Divine Parabrahman active in Your form on Earth and may we be able to unfurl the flag of Dharma hoisted on Earth all over the world in the form of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’.

O’ Gurunatha ! As long as this sky, the sun, moon and stars exist, we shall pay obeisance at Your Holy feet millions of times.

What is ‘Subtle’ : That which cannot be comprehended by the five sense organs, but whose existence is comprehended by the one who performs spiritual practice, is known as the ‘subtle world’. Various Scriptures contain reference to the subtle world and knowledge.

Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in SanatanPrabhat are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences.

Seeing, hearing in the subtle, etc. (Receiving knowledge through the five subtle sense organs) : The subtle vision of some seekers is awakened; meaning, they can perceive what the physical eyes cannot see; some seekers can hear sounds or words in the subtle.

Saptarshis have written the Jeevnadipattis through H.H. (Dr) OmUlagnathan, who says in Tamil that Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is an Incarnation of Shri Vishnu.
