Jaunpur (UP) – In the ‘Pharmacy’ degree examination of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University here, 4 students wrote ‘Jai Shriram’ and the names of cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya in the answer sheet. Interestingly, these students were also declared passed. In this case, the university administration took suspension action against 2 professors. This matter came to light through the right to information requested by Divyanshu Singh, a former student of the University.

Divyanshu complained in writing to the Raj Bhavan about the faulty checking of the answer sheets. Then the Raj Bhavan ordered an inquiry on 21st September 2023. The university administration appointed an inquiry committee. 2 professors were found guilty in this inquiry. Accordingly, Dr Ashutosh Gupta and Dr Vinay Verma have been suspended, said Vice-chancellor Vandana Singh.
