2,600 members of Tablighi Jamaat will not be able to go back to their country till their prosecution ends !

The Central Government has submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court that the 2,600 Tablighis who participated at Markaz in Delhi’s Nizamuddin in March 2020, and became COVID-19 infected resulting in the spread of the infection across the country will not be able to return back to their country.

A Hindu body, Vishwa Bhadra Pujari Purohit Mahasangh’ has moved the Supreme Court challenging a provision of a 1991 law that provides for maintaining “religious character” of holy structures as it existed on 15th August 1947, in a bid to open the litigation route to reclaim disputed religious sites other than the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.
