New Delhi – ‘We are hearing an increase in the number of coronavirus patients in all the States. Therefore, all the States should submit a report on the current situation. If the States do not make adequate preparations to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the situation could be even worse in December. Therefore, the States of Delhi, Assam, Gujarat and Maharashtra should submit reports within two days regarding the measures taken to prevent infection and the handling of patients,’ directed the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the treatment of coronavirus patients and handling of dead bodies. The Court passed the order during the hearing. Earlier, the Central Committee had warned that the coronavirus infection could escalate during the festive season due to second wave of the pandemic. A similar situation is developing in the country. That is why the Court has expressed concern.
The Court told Advocate General Sanjay Jain, who is defending the State of Delhi, that the situation in Delhi had worsened in November. The Court directed the Government to submit a report on the measures taken to prevent the spread of the disease. The Court also said that the Central and State governments should do their utmost to curb the growing number of patients with coronavirus.
