Government of India today eleased guidelines for regulating social media and OTT platforms in the country, regarding denigration of Hinduism, deities, national heroes etc. These were strongly demanded by patriots and devout Hindus, and ultimately the government has paid heed.
The Supreme Court of India has expressed dissatisfaction with the new guidelines for OTT platforms as they do not provide any scope for action against digital platforms.
