Amidst the hijab and Halal controversy in Karnataka, the Home Minister of State Araga Jnanendra accused intellectuals of only lecturing Hindus on secularism and being tolerant.
A special Court of Meghalaya sentenced life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 8 Lakh to Nurul Islam (sacked Police Inspector) in the case of raping two minor sisters.
Please note that those protesting against this action will never utter a word about the religious fanatical students violating the High Court verdict that contained an order not to wear hijab in educational institutions !
In 1990, a Hindu Judge was murdered in Kashmir because his Court’s decision was unacceptable to the Jihadists. The Centre should take an action now so that the history is not repeated.
Devotees expect implementation of the High Court’s order for temples nationwide.
The Court passed the order while hearing a petition filed by Anjuman Intazamia Mosque in Varanasi.
While these separatists were expected to be severely punished by now, the question is, how many years will these trials run and when will they be punished ?
If cases related to Hindu temples are pending in Courts for years, then how will people get justice ? Such a judiciary is not expected in a democracy.
The decision was based on two factors. First, does wearing a hijab fall under the ambit of religious freedom under Article 25 of the Constitution ? Secondly, is making school uniforms compulsory against this freedom ?
