Hijab and Halal controversy in Karnataka

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Amidst the hijab and Halal controversy in Karnataka, the Home Minister of State Araga Jnanendra accused intellectuals of only lecturing Hindus on secularism and being tolerant. He further added that they must instead educate the ones not following the law and respect the decision ruled out by Karnataka High Court on Hijab. With the Court supporting a ban on Hijab, a section of religious fanatics called out for a Statewide ‘Bandh’ (shut down), Jnanendra was reacting to this unlawful protest that was disrespecting Court’s verdict.
