Kolkata – On 19th April, during the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, several incidents of violence have been recorded in Bengal. In Cooch Behar, Chandamari’s BJP booth president Luv Sarkar was attacked. He was seriously injured and admitted to hospital. There is news of largescale stone pelting in that area. Many people injured in the stone pelting. Fighting was reported in Tufanganj. Besides, a bomb was found outside the house of a BJP worker in Dinhata area of Cooch Behar. Reportedly, a fight broke out between the worker of BJP and TMC at Cooch Behar during voting. TMC accused BJP workers of pelting stones at the TMC workers, they have also accused BJP workers of stopping people from voting. BJP has denied these accusations and accused TMC of stone pelting.
