BJP MLA T Raja Singh defies Congress Government’s opposition to take out Shriram Navami procession

Hyderabad Police had denied permission to the procession

BJP MLA T Rajasingh

Hyderabad (Telangana) – BJP’s devout Hindu MLA T Raja Singh was denied permission to take out a procession on the occasion of Shriram Navami. Despite the Government’s opposition, Raja Singh took out the procession without permission. Thousands of Hindus participated in this procession like every year.

1. MLA T Raja Singh said that on 16 th April, at 8:30 p.m., the Police informed through a letter that the Shriram Navami procession has been denied permission this year. There was very little time left to solve this problem. The Shriram Navami procession, which has been taken out for many years, is a symbol of devotion. Lakhs of Shriram devotees come from all over the country for this procession. This is an attempt to curb the freedom of Hindus for no reason. We expected the Congress Government to follow the footsteps of the earlier Government of K Chandrasekhar Rao in refusing permission for the procession.

2. The procession was taken out from Akashpuri Hanuman Temple to Hanuman Gymnasium in Ramkoti. The time asked for was from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; but the Telangana Police rejected this demand.

Saffron flags removed due to Congress party’s complaint at Jaipur

Devout Hindu organisations have taken to the streets at Jaipur, the Capital City of Rajasthan. Despite BJP’s Government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, saffron flags displayed at various places in Jaipur have been removed, based on the complaint lodged by the Congress Party, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) burnt an effigy of Congress as a mark of protest. The devout Hindu organisations claimed that the Congress Party had nothing to do with the elections and Shriram’s name. Mr Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Congress Party’s candidate from Jaipur City constituency has lodged a written complaint with the District Collector through advocate Mangal Singh stating ‘the display of saffron flags in Parkota Bazar is for the benefit of a certain party in 2024 general elections.

It is a breach of the Code of Conduct.’ As a result, the Municipal Corporation immediately removed the flags at night. MLA Balmukund Acharya of Hawa Mahal constituency has filed a complaint with the District Collector demanding the restoration of flags.

Editorial Perspective

It is well known that the Congress party, which embodies Ravan’s traits, detests Shriram. That is why their Government refused permission for the Shriram Navami procession. Do the Hindus who voted the Congress to power agree to this ?
