New Delhi – Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 21 st March evening, on charges of being the ‘mastermind’of Rs 100 crore Delhi liquor policy scam. The ED Court sent Kejriwal to ED custody till 28 th March. Kejriwal has refused to resign from the post of Delhi CM and said he would run the Government from prison. He also said that ‘the people of Delhi also want the same’. Kejriwal was produced in Rouse Avenue Court.
A 150-page report on spying ED officers Kapil Raj and Satyavrat was allegedly found at Kejriwal’s house. It is not only a scam of Rs 100 crore, but it is alleged that the bribe givers have earned Rs 600 crore in profit.

Kejriwal added,
1. I fully understand that there will be many difficulties. Still going to try to work from here (prison).
2. My health is in a very good shape. I never thought that the ED would come home to arrest me so soon after the order of the Delhi High Court.
3. No inquiry has been conducted yet. There is no guarantee that interrogation will take place even while in custody, because ED does not want to investigate. What ED wants to do, it can do.
