Congress party, which once called Shriram an imaginary figure, appeals to adopt his teachings

Rahul Gandhi addresses the meeting in Mumbai

Mumbai – When the Congress Government was ruling the country, it denied the existence of Deity Shriram to get permission to break the Ram Setu. In 2007, while stating that ‘Ram Setu was not created by Shriram’, the Congress had submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court that ‘Shriram is a fictional character’. Now Rahul Gandhi, leader of that same Congress party, appealed to adopt the teachings of Shriram in the public meeting of ‘I.N.D.I.’ alliance at Shivaji Park on 17 th March.

At the end of his speech, Rahul Gandhi stated that ‘M Gandhi, Buddha and Shriram gave a message to open a shop of love in the market of hatred’. Rahul Gandhi also ended his speech by appealing to adopt the message of Shriram. Because of this, the question arises whether the Congress party, which earlier considered Shriram as a fictional character, is now looking for electoral gains by talking about Shriram.

Editorial Perspective

You can’t fool someone all the time ! Does Congress think Hindus are fools ? Even if they think so, Rahul Gandhi should not forget that Hindus have completely rejected Congress.
