Hyderabad (Telangana) – Religious fanatical faiths and sects have been creating rift amongst people in the world. We cannot blame faith. Problems are created due to religious fanatics and not due to faith. We should connect with others. When we get connected to others, we can get connected to God, stated Daaji – Kamlesh Patel of ‘Heartfulness Institute’, a spiritual organisation while inaugurating the ‘Global Spiritual Mahotsav’ held at ‘Kanha Shanti Vanam’ at Chegur near Hyderabad. Other dignitaries sharing the dais with him were Ms Ranjana Chopra, Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Culture, ISKCON’s Gaur Gopal Das, Swami Atmapriyananda ji of ‘Ramakrishna Mission’, Usha Ben of ‘Brahma Kumaris’ Sect, and H. H. Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. More than 300 Saints from spiritual organisations and representatives attended the programme.

Daaji also stated that we need to find answers in our minds. There are more than 100 references in ‘Bhagwadgeeta’ about the mind. Every sect uses two weapons – fear of hell and desire for heaven, but a true spiritual seeker will not fall prey to such things. A seeker feels he doesn’t know if God exists. He wants to experience God’s existence in his mind.

People will turn to inner peace only after the eradication of terrorism – H. H. Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji

People across the world are living under the shadow of terrorism. Had it been just a sapling of terrorism, we would have been able to focus on inner peace, but terrorism has grown so rampant that the ruling powers and administrations should take stringent steps for its eradication. Only then, will we be able to turn to inner peace. People should be provided security. ‘Bharat-bhoomi’ was the land of supreme culture and civility. It accepted every method of worshipping. We should have faith in our system of worship and respect other systems too, is what Indians believe in. Fortunately, we have such a Government now which is providing security in every way. There should be security in life; otherwise, people can fall prey to various inducements. With the present Government, however, we can focus on inner spiritual practice. There are several facets of spirituality. There has to be mutual respect for every ideology. Our final goal should be moving towards world peace from inner peace.

It is no use spending our energy on things which we cannot change – Gaur Gopal Das, ISKCON

The challenges and problems before us disturb our inner peace. We think that finding a solution to a problem is peace. Our problems will, however, never end; therefore, we only have to search for peace. How can the world be peaceful when I am not ? We should not waste our energy on things which we cannot change. If you have faith, look at God; if you are superstitious, connect yourself to the Universe. It is important to connect to someone.

A human being needs to develop the power of immunity – Usha Ben, Brahma Kumaris

We have to experience peace in life that is besieged by problems, from wherever we are. We have to, therefore, create spiritual maturity in us since it will help to experience inner peace. With the development of spiritual immunity, no problem can trouble us at a psychological or emotional level. We should learn to look at life as advised in ‘Shrimadbhagawadgeeta’ that whatever happened was for my good and what will happen, will also be good.
