The first letter was found near the sanctum sanctorum of the Temple and the other, near Hanuman Temple. Both the letters were written in Hindi. The Trustees handed over the letters to the City Police and lodged a complaint.
DSP of Chikodi Department Gopalkrishna Goudar called a meeting with the Temple Trustees on 9th March and took required information. The Police inspected the Temple premises and instructed to build a protective wall around it, appoint two permanent staff and remove the encroachment in front of the Temple. (While these suggestions could be useful, the Police cannot do away with their responsibility. – Editor)
