Bharatnatyam artist Amarnath Ghosh shot dead in America

Saint Louis (USA) – Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi artist Amarnath Ghosh from Kolkata has been shot dead in St Louis, Missouri, USA. Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee gave this information. Ghosh was pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Washington University in St Louis. Ghosh went for a walk in the evening when unknown assailants shot at him.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee has sought help from the Indian Embassy in the USA, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the death of Amarnath Ghosh.

My friend #Amarnathghosh was shot & killed in St louis academy neigbourhood, US on tuesday evening.

Only child in the family, mother died 3 years back. Father passed away during his childhood.
