The incident occurs just 3 days before Pakistan’s General Elections
Islamabad (Pakistan) – With just three days remaining for the general elections in Pakistan, political campaigns have intensified. However, alongside this political activity, there has been a surge in terrorist attacks across the country. In the early hours of 5th February, Jihadi terrorists targeted a Police station in Dera Ismail Khan town, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The attack resulted in the tragic death of 10 policemen, while six others have sustained injuries and are in critical condition. The terrorists entered the Police station and fired indiscriminately, reported a senior Police officer.
On 4th February, an explosion occurred outside the office of the Election Commission of Pakistan in the Nushki District of Balochistan province. No casualties were reported in this attack.
