Spiritual Research by Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay
The Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) was developed in 2005 by Dr. Mannem Murthy, a former nuclear scientist from Telengana. By using this instrument the energy and the aura of an object, a premises, an animal or an individual can be measured.
There is a tradition of reciting Shriramraksha stotra along with ‘Shubham Karoti’ and Shri Maruti stotra, after lighting a lamp in the evening in the temple at home. Ramraksha has been composed by Sage Budhkaushik. Evolved Sages receive the inspiration for such compositions through Paravani (Mode of speech of a Seer where one experiences non-duality with God’s Name). In this state, the evolved one is in complete oneness with God and has the spiritual knowledge that God only is the doer of everything. There is reference in texts by Sage Budhkaushik that ‘Ramraksha was narrated by Deity Shiva in his dream state’.
There are different paths of spiritual practice such as Karmayoga (Path of Action), Bhaktiyoga (Path of Devotion), Dhyanyoga (Path of Meditation), Dnyanyoga (Path of knowledge) etc. For an average individual busy in his daily worldly routine, the only path of spiritual practice which is simple, beyond restrictions of place and time and such that one can be in constant communion with God, is Namayog (Path of Chanting). (Reference : Holy text of Sanatan – Importance and Benefits of Chanting)
How does the recitation of Shriramraksha stotra and chanting ‘Shriram’ affect an individual ? Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay conducted scientific research using UAS (Universal Aura Scanner) to study this. Analysis of the observations of the study is given ahead.
1. Analysis of the observations in the study : In this study, UAS readings of a lady seeker with severe spiritual distress and a male seeker with no spiritual distress were taken, before and after recitation of Shriramraksha stotra. The recitation took 15 minutes.
On the following day UAS readings of the same two seekers were taken before and after chanting the name of Shriram for 15 minutes.
1 A. Analysis of the observations of the negative and positive auras – Positive effects observed in the seekers of the study after recitation of Shriramraksha stotra and chanting ‘Shriram’
Seekers | Negative energy aura in (metres) | Positive Energy aura in (metres)
Infrared Energy | Ultraviolet Energy
1.Shriramraksha stotra recitation
A. Lady seeker with severe spiritual distress | Before recitation | 1.34 | 0.90 | Nil |
After recitation | Nil | Nil | 1.61
B. Male seeker with no spiritual distress | Before recitation | Nil | Nil | 1.54 |
After recitation | Nil | Nil | 3.40
2. Chanting Shriram | ||||
A. Lady seeker with severe spiritual distress | Before chanting | 2.66 | 2.20 | Nil |
After chanting | 0.80 | Nil (Note) | 2.16
B. Male seeker with no spiritual distress | Before chanting | Nil | Nil | 2.44 |
After chanting | Nil | Nil | 4.38 |
Note – The arms of the ‘Universal Aura Scanner’ opened at an angle of 140 degrees only. If the arms open at an angle of 180 degrees, then only can the aura be measured.
Following points are noted from the above table.
1. After the recitation of Shriramraksha stotra, the infrared and ultraviolet negative energy auras in the lady seeker with severe spiritual distress disappeared and positive Energy aura was generated.
2. After chanting ‘Shriram’, the infrared and ultraviolet negative energy auras in the lady seeker with severe spiritual distress reduced to a large extent and positive Energy aura was generated.
3. Compared to Shriramraksha stotra, chanting ‘Shriram’ resulted in more positive Energy aura in the lady seeker with severe spiritual distress.
4. No negative energy aura was found in the male seeker with no spiritual distress, also his positive Energy aura increased after chanting ‘Shriram’. However this increase was more after chanting ‘Shriram’ as compared to Shriramraksha stotra.
2. Spiritual analysis of the observations in the study
2 A. Importance of Shriramraksha stotra : In spiritual literature, Mantrayoga has a lot of importance. Shriramraksha stotra is actually a mantra. Mantra means a naad (sound), a letter, a word or a group of words. When a mantra is recited in a specific rhythm and tune, a characteristic energy (shakti ) is generated hence, it is necessary to recite Ramraksha in a specific rhythm.
A stotra is a means to sing praises of a Deity. In addition, a stotra has the ability of creating a protective covering around the one reciting it. As per the stated in the stotra, the resolve of the composer benefittedteds the one reciting it. (Reference : Sanatan’s Holy text – Shriramraksha stotra)
2 B. Chanting ‘Shriram’ : Many Saints have emphasised how chanting God’s name is the best spiritual practice in Kaliyug and that there is no alternative to chanting. Chanting means recitation of a letter, word, mantra or sentence, repeatedly.
The meaning of the words in ‘Shriram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram’ is as follows.
Shriram : This is an invocation to Shriram
Jai Ram : This is His praise
Jai Jai Ram : This is expressing surrender similar to saying ‘Namaha’. (Reference : Sanatan’s Holy text – ‘Shriram’)
Due to the recitation of Shriramraksha stotra, Divine Energy (Chaitanya) is generated and a protective covering is created around the person reciting the stotra. By chanting ‘Shriram’, the individual is benefitted by the Shriram principle. Both the seekers in the study were spiritually benefitted by the recitation of Shriramraksha stotra and also from chanting ‘Shriram’ as given ahead.
1. The lady seeker with severe spiritual distress : The lady seeker had spiritual distress internally as well as a covering of the distressing energy around, which is indicated by ultraviolet negative energy aura and infrared negative energy aura, respectively. After Shriramraksha stotra recitation and after chanting Shriram, the ultraviolet negative energy aura and the infrared negative energy aura around the lady seeker totally disappeared or reduced to a large extent, and positive Energy aura was generated. It is a unique occurrence for positive energy to get generated in an individual with severe spiritual distress.
2. Male seeker with no spiritual distress : In the seeker having no spiritual distress there was no negative energy aura. After recitation of Shriramraksha stotra and by chanting ‘Shriram’, his positive Energy aura increased.
These effects were due to the positive Energy of the Shriramraksha stotra and chanting ‘Shriram’. The negative Energy covering around an individual can disappear easily by imbibing positive Energy, as compared to negative energy present internally in an individual, which requires high amounts of positive Energy to nullify it. Both these were achieved by 15 minutes recitation of Shriramraksha stotra and 15 minutes chanting ‘Shriram’.
A specific point to note here is that compared to the recitation of the stotra, both seekers benefitted more by the chanting of ‘Shriram’. Thus, the importance of continuous chanting becomes apparent.
