Nagar – The Shri Kanifnath Devasthan in Guha, located in Rahuri Taluk is being claimed by the Muslims with the support of communist parties as a property of the Waqf Board. (Time we realised the cunningness of communist parties who support religious fanatics against Hindu Dharma – Editor) Some members of the Muslim community have initiated a hunger strike with the goal of removing the idol of Shri Kanifnath Maharaj. Contrary to this assertion, the ‘Adivasi Eklavya Sanghatana’ and the ‘Vadar Samaj Sanghatana’ have staunchly affirmed that the temple rightfully belongs to the Hindus. In response, the entire Hindu community, in collaboration with these organisations, has taken a proactive stance, expressing readiness to take to the streets, if necessary, in order to safeguard the temple.
1. The ‘Eklavya Adivasi Bahuuddeshiya Samajik Sanstha (Maharashtra State)’ submitted a memorandum to Rahuri Taluk Tehsildar Chandrajit Rajput. Also present during the submission were the Regional President Yogesh Suryavanshi, along with other office bearers and activists of the ‘Eklavya Adivasi Bahuuddeshiya Samajik Sanstha.’
2. The ‘Akhil Maharashtra Rajya Vadar Samaj Sanghatana’ also submitted a memorandum to Naib Tehsildar Mrs Dalvi. Present during the submission were District President Sampat Naikwad, Rahuri Taluk President Pradeep (Anna) Dhanawade, and various other activists.
Demand for appropriate action against the concerned
These memorandums assert that the idol of Kanifnath Maharaj in the Kanifnath Temple was destroyed during the Mughal invasion. During that period, the Hindus undertook significant efforts to safeguard and preserve this temple. Consequently, devotees of Shrinath have reinstated the idol of Kanifnath Maharaj at the same location. However, a group of Muslims are currently staging a hunger strike in opposition to this act, with support from certain anti-Hindu organisations. Given that the nature of this issue is anti-Hindu, several organisations are interfering in the matter. Therefore, appropriate action should be taken to address this situation.
What is the issue ?
Religious fanatics are attempting to grab the Devasthan land through the Waqf Board. On November 13, 2023, a group of Muslim miscreants attacked and assaulted devotees who were singing bhajans in the temple. In response to this incident, on November 21, devout Hindus organised a protest march at the Tehsil office. Subsequently, on December 28, 2023, the Hindu community installed the idol of Kanifnath Maharaj in the temple.
