Hindu community in Canada under fear due to extortion threats

Hindus stage demonstrations in Surrey

Ottawa (Canada) – Hindu community staged demonstrations in Surrey to protest against the law-and-order situation there. Hindu community has been receiving extortion threats. The demonstrations were organised by the Vedic Hindu Cultural Society.

1.Mr Satish Kumar, President of Lakshmi Narayan Temple, informed that the Hindu community is under fear due to the extortion threats. Some of them have even complied with the demand out of fear.

2.A few days ago, an unknown person fired at Satish Kumar’s son’s house. Pro-Khalistan terrorists had attacked Lakshmi Narayan Temple a few weeks ago and had written anti-India slogans on the walls of the temple.

3.Canadian Police arrested a few individuals last November in connection with the extortion, but Hindus felt that the action taken by the Police was not enough, while the Police claim that the threats were given by an Indian gang.

India should now declare Canada as a ‘country unsafe for Hindus’ and ban the travel of Indians to Canada !
