People will have to decide whether they want a Hindu Rashtra or a secular, stable nation – Anti-Hindu statement of IOC President Sam Pitroda

New Delhi – The 2024 elections are important for the future of India. Indians will, therefore, have to decide whether they want a Hindu Rashtra or a stable, inclusive, secular country, stated Mr Sam Pitroda, the President of ‘The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC)’ in an interview with ANI.

Points stated by Sam Pitroda in the interview –

Congress faced problems due to Deity Shriram. (That is why Hindus too had problems with the Congress party and they overthrew it from power. Sam Pitroda should remember this. – Editor). Now, people are openly supporting Shriram.

I have no problem with any religion. It is okay to go visit the temple once in a while, but you can’t make that the main platform. It is not proper for Prime Minister Modi to visit temples so often. (Are the Congressmen given the right to advise what one should do in this country ? Is it not an attack on the individual freedom of the Prime Minister ? – Editor).

What are the main issues this country faces; is it Shriram temple or unemployment, inflation, pollution etc ? People need to decide on this. (Sam Pitroda needs to be reminded that in the 60-year regime of Congress, there was a huge rise in unemployment, inflation and air pollution while constructing Shriram temple was not even on the agenda – Editor).

Now, people have to decide whether they want a dictator or a people’s servant (Loksevak); they want partition based on religion or want ‘Loksevak’ who will take everyone along; they want a Government which creates fear in people or a Government which protects people. (People may want or may not want something, but they surely do not want Congress; therefore, no matter how hard Congress leaders try, it will be of no use – Editor). The 2024 General elections are going to be for the future of this country and not for the future of one individual.

Editorial Perspectives

  • The majority Hindu population of this country want Hindu Rashtra since the damage caused to India in the last 75 years by proclaiming it a secular country is evident. Sam Pitroda, therefore, need not worry about India.
  • If there are 52 Islamic countries and 157 Christian countries in the world, and they find no hurdles in their development because of their theocratic system, why would Hindus have problems when this country becomes Hindu Rashtra ?
