No one criticised when the villain was portrayed as a Hindu ! – ‘Animal’ film producer Pranay Reddy Vanga retorts

‘Animal’ is produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga and actor Bobby Deol

Mumbai – The Hindi film ‘Animal’ is drawing criticism for different reasons including massive bloodshed, violence and vulgarity. In addition, there is now criticism over portraying a Muslim antagonist. Mr Pranay Reddy Vanga, Co-producer and Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother, has replied to the criticism in an interview. He said that people started criticising as we portrayed the antagonist from a minority community, with three wives and eight children. Nobody, however, criticised when the villain was depicted as a Hindu for the past 20–30 years, with a ‘tilak’ on his forehead. A few people are opposing the film only because Muslims are considered a minority community in this country.

Actor Bobby Deol has played the role of a Muslim antagonist in this film, with three wives and eight children. This is the reason some people are criticising the film.
