Gadag (Karnataka) – Hundreds of Hindus including women, men and children took oath against ‘Love Jihad’ in a programme organised at Vittalarudha Samudaya Bhavan here on the occasion of Sahasrarjun Maharaj Jayanti festival.
The oath was taken as below –
We are taking an oath to not fall prey to ‘Love Jihad’. We take this oath in the name of Deities Jaganmate, Sahasrarjun Maharaj, Yallamma and Vittalarudha. We shall not fall prey in villages, streets, schools or colleges to the love and affection shown by people from other religions. We shall not accept their love but reject it. If people from other religions try to persuade us to accept their love, send messages on Facebook, Instagram etc., we shall inform our parents. We will try to stop this by ourselves or through our parents and teach that person a lesson. We shall be alert that our female friends also do not fall prey to ‘Love Jihad’. We shall preserve the honour of our families and community.
