A case registered after validation of accusations by the youth’s father

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – A case has been registered against Alisha, her father Imtiaz, mother Reshma and maternal uncle Nadeem for abetting the suicide of 21-year-old Hindu youth Rohit Sharma. According to Sub-Inspector Sanoj Kumar, the case has been registered based on the complaint by Rohit’s father Mahipal Sharma. Their son was tricked by Alisha into a love trap and mentally tortured by her family. He was also beaten up. He has alleged in his complaint that due to this, his son had to take the drastic step of committing suicide. The Police registered a case after validating Sharma’s allegations.

After consuming poison on 25th October, Rohit died on 2nd November while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Mahipal Sharma said, “I did not know anything about their love affair until Rohit consumed poison. I read Rohit and Alisha’s WhatsApp chat in Rohit’s mobile phone. It is clear through their chat that she dragged him into the love-trap. On 25th October, the day Rohit consumed the poison, he had gone to Alisha’s house. Since that day, Alisha and her family is absconding. From this, it is clear that they are involved in my son’s death.

Police sub-inspector Sanoj Kumar said that the accused are absconding and we are searching them.
