Bangladeshi gang arrested for human trafficking

Lucknow (UP) – Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested 3 Bangladeshi migrants for human trafficking. They had received Rs 20 crore funding to bring Bangladeshi citizens to India and settle them. Rs 1.5 crore have been seized from their bank accounts. They are identified as Adil Mohammad Ashrafi alias Adil-ur-Rehman, Sheikh Najib-ul-Haq and Abu Hurayara Ghazi.

The ATS said the culprits were making fake Indian citizenship documents to bring Bangladeshi citizens to India and settle them. They were being funded from abroad. Adil was the main perpetrator among them. A fake Aadhaar Card was seized from him. Sheikh Najib-ul-Haq and Abu Hurayara Ghazi from Bengal assisted Adil to forge the documents.

During the investigation, it has come to light that Rs 20 crore were sent as donations to various madarasas and schools from some private organizations abroad. This money was being used for human trafficking.

Such incidents will stop only when the Government declares the death penalty for such crimes.
