Shri Ganesh Idol made from ‘chips’ in Mumbai

Anti-Hindu action due to lack of education of Dharma

Mumbai – An Idol of Shri Ganesh has been made from potato and banana chips. A video of this Idol has been circulated on Instagram asking for opinions about this Idol. Split black lentils and sago papad have also been used to make this Idol. The video has been viewed by more than 8 lakh people; some of them have praised the idea. (Such things happen due to lack of education on Dharma among Hindus. The purpose of making an Idol of a Deity should be to worship and not to entertain. In case of such Idols, the Idol maker as well as those taking darshan of such Idol, do not receive any Divine benefit – Editor).

Making an Idol of Shri Ganesh out of food or sticking food on the Idol in this way is a mockery of the Deity. Hindus do not realise this due to lack of education on Dharma and consequently do something like this in the name of ‘innovation’. An Idol made of food can be attacked by insects, ants etc. which leads to further mockery. The purpose of installing Shri Ganesh Idol is to worship the Deity and receive Divine benefit. Idols made of clay have higher sattva component. Hindus should educate those who make such Idols.

The intention behind publishing this picture is not to mock the Deity but to make Hindus aware of the mockery.
