Bengaluru – A mob of Muslim youth cornered and harassed a Muslim girl who was wearing a burqa, for roaming around with a young Hindu man in the Govindpura area. The mob accused that the girl is a black mark on Islam. Some people accused the girl of insulting the religion of Islam. Bengaluru Police has taken the accused into custody in this case.
In connection with the case of assault on a bike rider travelling alongwith a woman of different faith,@BlrCityPolice has acted swiftly, identified & secured 2 accused persons. A case is registered & legal action is initiated. My Govt. deals with such incidents with an iron hand.

According to a report, radical Muslims target couples where the male is Hindu and the girl is Muslim. There have been several cases where Muslim women travelling with Hindu friends have faced harassment, and incidents of Hindu youths being attacked have also been reported. There are claims that some Muslims are spreading a notion referred to as the ‘Saffron Love Trap’ among Muslims. This concept is believed to be designed to discourage Muslim women from interacting with Hindu men.
