A mob of women beat up and strip 2 tribal women in Bengal

Tribal women were suspected of stealing

Kolkata (Bengal) – An incident has come to light in Bengal’s Malda District where a mob of women beat up 2 tribal women and stripped them half naked. The incident took place on 19th July and its video is circulating on social media now. In the video, a group of women can be seen to have surrounded two tribal women. These women are being pulled by their hair and beaten up with footwear. They were also stripped. These two women were accused of theft. As of now, no official information about this incident has been given by the Police.

BJP’s Head of IT Cell, Amit Malviya, has circulated this video on social media. According to him, the incident took place in Pakuahat area of Malda. Malviya alleged that while the tribal women were being beaten up and stripped, the Police merely stood by.

Please note that the political parties like Congress, NCP, Samajwadi Party, CPI, CPM, etc. and Women’s Rights Organisations do not demand an answer from Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for such incidents that occur repeatedly in Bengal during the last few months. If there were a BJP Government instead, all these parties and organisations would have united and stood against it !
