Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – When Nathuram Godse thought of assassinating M Gandhi, he knew, ‘I will be hanged.’ Still, he assassinated Gandhi. We should know Godse’s pain that led to the assassination and the cause of his agony. If you read the book written by him, you will be able to notice it, stated Shankaracharya Jagadguru Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati of Purvamnaya Peeth in Puri, at a press conference in Raipur. Shankaracharya made this statement while commenting on the controversy created by a remark of Giriraj Singh, Union Minister. During a tour of Chhattisgarh, the Union Minister had said, ‘Nathuram Godse was a worthy son of India’.
Shankaracharya said that whenever one makes a statement, some agree or disagree with it. When I speak about Godse, I give the reference of a 70-page book written by him. This is a significant book. Read the book regardless of agreement or disagreement with Godse’s views. You will find it in any library. Having read it, your heart will accept that Nathuram was deeply saddened. On which track was India being led at that time, one must look into that. In the same book, Godse says that he killed Gandhi because that person’s strategies would have continued for a long time. This would have caused the end of India’s existence and ideals.
Cultured, well-educated, safe, prosperous and service is the nature of Hindu Rashtra !
While speaking about Hindu Rashtra and the Constitution, Shankaracharya said that the one who is credited for making the Constitution of India had himself criticised it. He had mentioned in the Parliament that he was not satisfied with this Constitution. You must be knowing his name. We don’t talk looking at the Prime Minister or the Constitution. We say that the ancestors of all of us were Hindus during the Sanatan (ancient) period. Tell me if you disagree with this. Cultured, well-educated, safe, prosperous and service is the nature of Hindu Rashtra. I do not belong to any political party. Don’t try to trap me anywhere. He also clarified that the Prime Minister comes to him. The Chief Minister of this State comes to him.
