Nashik (Maharashtra) – At Trimbakeshwar on 13th May at 9.41 p.m. some Muslims insisted on entering Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple from North gate during a procession on the occasion of the local Muslim Uroos. These Muslims did not stop at this, they insisted to put a green chadar on Shivapindi. Further disaster was averted as the security guards there stopped these Muslims. In this case, Shri Trimbakeshwar Devasthan Trust and Brahman Mahasangh Nashik have strongly protested and have given a letter to the Trimbakeshwar Police Station to take action against the perpetrators.
Take strict legal action ! – Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh
In this matter, the Coordinator of Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh Mr Sunil Ghanwat has also submitted a memorandum to Nashik Superintendent of Police and Home Minister stating, “As per the Constitution, the rights of darshan have been given to the persons of Hindu religion in Shri Trimbakeshwar temple. Deity Shiva’s temple at Trimbakeshwar is a place of worship for millions of Hindus and this incident is serious. Through this incident, there has been a deliberate attempt to create social discord. Hence, strict legal action should be taken against the culprits”.
“Looking at the events in Amravati, Sambhaji Nagar, Akola for the past few days, the incident in connection with the Trimbakeshwar Temple in Nashik is a deliberate attempt to cause social discord and may be a big conspiracy to disrupt law and order. Therefore, if such acts are taking place anywhere else in the State by force, immediate attention should be given and strict action should be taken against the culprits”, such a demand has also been made in that memorandum.
