
New Delhi – Many artifacts including the Kohinoor diamond are kept in many museums in Britain. India requested the repatriation of them many times to Britain. A few of these items have been returned to India. Kohinoor and other Idols are now being discussed with Britain.

A ‘Repatriation Campaign’ has been launched by the Government in order to accomplish this. Indian Culture Ministry Secretary Govind Mohan said that, “It is of huge importance to the Government. The thrust of this effort to repatriate India’s artifacts comes from the personal commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has made it a major priority.”
