Temples in China gaining popularity among young Chinese for getting jobs and peace of mind

Beijing (China) – As per the information published by the Reuters News Agency, the temple visits of youth in China have increased by 310% compared with that in 2022.  China is facing a disastrous economy as the country observed three years of stringent Covid-19 controls. 1.16 crore Chinese youth are unemployed. Hence, they are visiting the temple to get relief from their anxious and depressed state of mind and to get peace.

Editorial viewpoint

  • Educated youth with a scientific mindset are visiting temples for securing jobs and peace of mind in communist China, which is a slap on the face of rationalists who comment that religion is an opium pill.
  • The organisations like ANiS does not exist in China, otherwise, they would have called these youth superstitious and opposed them.
